This policy explains what personal information Spinello's Moonlight
Liquors ("we," "us," "our") collects through this website, why, who
else may receive it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do.
We have written it in plain language and kept it specific to what the
site actually does. The site has one form for questions and event lists,
a search of our shelves, and no accounts, no online ordering or payment,
and no advertising or tracking tools of our own (the embedded Google map,
described below, is the one outside exception).

Who we are
Spinello's Moonlight Liquors is a beer, wine, spirits, and cigar
retailer located at 265 N Moonlight Rd, Gardner, KS 66030, and
reachable by phone at (913) 856-5265. We are the business responsible
for any personal information you send us through this site.
What we collect — and what we do with it
Information you choose to give us The only
personal information this site asks for is what you type into our
inquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional),
your preferred contact method (phone, email, or text), the reason
for your inquiry (or, if you opened the form from a specific bottle
in our Collection, which bottle you were asking about), and the
message itself. If you use Plan My Event and press "Send to the
store", your answers are added to the inquiry form: how many adults
are drinking, how many are drinking non-alcoholic, how many guests
are under 21, how long the event is, the occasion, the date of the
event, the suggested shopping list it worked out, any items you
picked out while browsing our shelves, and anything you type in the
"anything else you'd like us to pull together" box. Nothing from
Plan My Event leaves your device until you press "Send Inquiry" on
that form. We use all of this to read your
inquiry and follow up with you the way you asked. We do not use it
for marketing, mailing lists, or anything else, and we do not sell
or rent it to anyone.
Who sees it Only store staff with a sign-in to our staff
screen, and the person who builds and looks after the site for us, can
read inquiries. We do not share them with anyone else, apart
from the service providers named in this policy that run the site for us,
the texting app we may reply from (see "How long we keep your data"),
or where the law requires it. Your inquiry is stored in the United States.
What stays in your browser When you search our shelves,
your browser downloads our catalog and does the searching itself; what
you type is not sent to us. Plan My Event works the same way: your numbers
stay on your device until you send them, and if you close the page
without sending, they are gone.
Information collected automatically Like every website,
ours runs on a host's servers (described below) that record standard
information about each request: your IP address, the type of browser and
device you are using, the page or file requested, the time, and the page
that linked you here if your browser shares it. When you send the inquiry
form, our host also stores the IP address it came from with your message,
and may store your browser type and the page you sent it from. Our staff
screen does not show these details, we do not use them to work out who
you are, and our host deletes them along with your message. The spam
filter described below keeps its own short-term record of what it checks.
What we do not collect The site has no accounts
or logins, no comment system, no newsletter signup, and no online ordering
or payment. Apart from our host's standard request records described
above, we do not run any analytics, our own or anyone else's (such as
Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or Hotjar). We do not set any advertising
or tracking cookies, and we do not fingerprint visitors.
Third parties that may receive data automatically
Because of the way the site is built and hosted, three third
parties may receive information about your visit even if you never
fill out the inquiry form. We have kept this list as short as
possible.
Netlify (hosting and form processing) The website is
hosted by Netlify, Inc., so every request for a page, photo, or video on
this site is handled by Netlify's servers, which record standard request
information (IP address, browser type, time, page requested) for security
and operations. When you send the inquiry form, Netlify stores it so our
staff can read it. Netlify checks every submission for spam with Akismet,
a spam-filtering service run by Automattic, Inc., so what you send passes
through Akismet for that check. Akismet keeps its own records of what it
checks for a limited time, under its privacy notice at
akismet.com/privacy .
Netlify does this work for us as our
service provider, under its terms with us. Netlify's own privacy
statement is at

Google Fonts Our typography uses four fonts
(Cormorant Garamond, Spectral, Jost and Roboto) served from Google
Fonts. When your browser loads those fonts from
fonts.googleapis.com
and fonts.gstatic.com, Google receives the same
standard request information described above (IP address,
user-agent, referring URL). Google says no cookies are sent with these
font requests, and that it keeps a record of the requests it serves.
Google's handling of this
data is governed by Google's privacy policy at
policies.google.com/privacy .
Google Maps (embedded map) Our "Find Us" section
includes a small interactive map of our location, embedded from
Google Maps. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies
and collect information about your visit on the
google.com / maps.google.com domain,
exactly as if you had opened Google Maps directly in a new tab.
Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's privacy
policy above. Because Google's maps appear on many websites, Google may
be able to collect information about your activity over time and across
different websites when the map loads. No one else collects that kind of
information through our site. We do not track visitors ourselves, so
there is nothing for a browser's "Do Not Track" signal to switch off on
our side.
Outbound links you choose to follow
The footer of this site links to our Facebook page, and the "Find
us on Untappd" button at the top of the page opens our page on
Untappd. The Google rating and the link to read all our reviews on
Google open our listing on Google Maps. The "Open in Google Maps" button in the Find Us section opens Google
Maps with our address pre-filled. Phone number links open your device's
phone dialer. We do not control any of these destinations, and
once you leave our site each of them is governed by its own
privacy policy.
Cookies and similar storage
We do not set cookies, and nothing on this site saves anything on your
device — no cookies, no local storage, no session storage. (Your browser
may keep its own copy of our pages and photos so they load faster next
time; that is your browser's ordinary cache, and we never read it.) The
Google Maps embed described above may set cookies on Google's domain.
How long we keep your data
Inquiries are deleted within 8 days. Every message sent
through our inquiry form is deleted automatically within 8 days of
reaching us, whether or not we replied — including any message our
host's spam filter set aside. A deletion job runs every day, and our staff
screen shows us when it last ran. Our staff screen also keeps a short note
of who handled each inquiry (for example, "called Sam Smith"); those notes
are deleted with it. If you would like yours deleted sooner, ask us and we
will do it, notes included.
If we reply by email, text, or phone call, that conversation stays in the
email account or on the phone we used, like any other conversation
between two people, and the 8-day deletion does not reach it. You can ask
us to delete it at any time and we will. If we reply by text, it may come
from a texting app on the store's account rather than the store's own
phone line. That service keeps the conversation under its own privacy
policy. As with any reply, ask us and we will delete our copy.
Standard server logs maintained by Netlify are retained according
to Netlify's own retention practices and are not kept by us
beyond what Netlify makes available.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you,
request a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete
it. We will honor those requests, except where we are required to
keep certain records for legal, security, or fraud-prevention
reasons. We will not retaliate against you for exercising any of
these rights. The simplest way to make a request is to call us at
(913) 856-5265 or send a note through the inquiry form on this
site.
Age and children's privacy
This website is intended for adults of legal drinking age (21+ in
the United States). We do not knowingly collect personal
information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has
submitted information through this site, please contact us using
the details below and we will delete it. Plan My Event asks how many of
your guests are under 21, so it can suggest soft drinks. That is only a
number: it does not ask for, and we do not collect, anything about any
guest.
Security
This site is served exclusively over HTTPS, which encrypts the
connection between your browser and Netlify's servers. No
information system is ever completely secure, so we cannot
guarantee absolute security of any data you transmit, but we have
tried to keep the surface area for personal information small by
design — there are no accounts and no payments, and the only personal
information we keep is what you send through the inquiry form (for no more
than 8 days), any replies we send you, and our host's standard request
records, each as described above.
Please do not send card numbers, ID numbers, or passwords through the form —
we will never ask for them there.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, when we change
a service provider or add a feature to the site. Whenever we do, we
change the "Last updated" date at the top. If we ever want to use
information you have already sent us in a way this policy does not
describe, we will ask you first.
